Learn more about the problem we’re solving, our innovative solution, and the dedicated team behind Speech Frog.
Speech Frog addresses problems around speech therapy home practice, a critical component of treatment for speech sound disorders.
Speech sound disorders are common among young children and refer to difficulties in pronouncing certain sounds in speech.
If left untreated, these disorders can have great ramifications in the future and can lead to various social, emotional, and academic challenges.
The only evidence-based treatment for speech sound disorders is speech therapy… and the more if it, the better!
But because we can’t see a Speech Pathologist everyday, kids need to do lots of regular practice activities at home between sessions in order to make progress.
The problem is, many clients don’t do enough of this home practice! That’s where Speech Frog comes in.
With Speech Frog, kids play fun, speech-promoting games for home practice.
Our intelligent AI provides feedback on their speech and allows them to progress through levels and earn rewards.
It turns tedious practice into engaging play.
And while kids are playing, Speech Frog records their speech and shares data back to their Speech Pathologist.
They can see a timeline of their client’s home practice, track their progress, and intervene early if needed.
By bridging the gap between sessions and increasing client engagement, Speech Frog maximises therapy dosage which can improve outcomes for kids.
To bring Speech Frog to life we put together a team of experienced entrepreneurs and clinicians.
Carl has been a special education teacher for almost 20 years and has worked closely with Speech Pathologists throughout his career.
Together with Sophie, whose background is in project management, they run a successful international ecommerce business.
Chris is our lead Speech Pathologist with over 20 years of private speech practice. Her expertise has guided the development of our games, ensuring they are clinically sound and best practice.
Dan is the techie of the team and has been working around startups for over ten years. He co-founded Code Camp, and also runs a software consultancy helping social impact businesses build great tech solutions
But our team doesn’t stop there!
We’re working actively with our customers, Speech Pathologists across Australia, to continue building Speech Frog into a tool that augments the amazing work they do with their clients.
So come join us and help shape the future of Speech Frog. Together we can fix home practice and help improve therapy outcomes for kids.
